Karin

Three videos of the same athlete.

Before and after treatment, with some running technique work over a period of 4 months and then another 5 months.

The differences between video 1 (right) and video 2 (center) are the most noticeable:

  • Greater vertical displacement
  • Shorter rear leg recovery
  • Faster swing leg
  • More stable trunk posture

In the following period, however, the changes are not entirely positive.

  • The rear leg recovery has become even shorter.
  • The swing leg is slightly faster and reaches a somewhat higher position.
  • Foot placement is more reactive.
  • Arm action is directed further backward, but is also somewhat more rounded.
  • The shoulders are being raised again, and the trunk is rotating more again.

Sprint speed has clearly increased. However, the increase in speed of the individual movement components has led to the reappearance of old technical errors. Continued correction and more submaximal running should ultimately lead to the desired result.
